The Department is headed by the Director of Finance and Accounts and ably supported by the Deputy director, Assistant Director, Senior Accountants and other staff as shown on the Ministry’s Organogramme.
Like any other Finance Department in the state, it is divided into various sections which include: the Revenue, Expenditure control, Salaries and the treasure section.
- Identification and collection of revenue.
- Making all payments upon approval
- Preparation of cash books and Bank reconciliation statements
- Preparation of Monthly Returns of Revenue, expenditure and other returns
- Preparations of Annual Estimates foe the Ministry.
- Serves as liaison officers between the Ministry of Finance and other Financial Institutions in the state.
Payments made by the Department include that of staff salaries and allowance, contracts compensations etc.

- Ground Rent
- Land Development fees
- Premium levy and compensation fees
- Survey fees
- Registration and search fees
- Grand and merger fee etc..
